The 22nd Asia-Pacific Routes Development Conference (Routes Asia 2026) will be held at Xi'an Qujiang International Convention and Exhibition Center from April 14 to 16, 2026. This is the only event dedicated to route development in the Asia-Pacific region, organized by Informa Group and officially hosted by Shaanxi Airport Group. As one of the four ancient capitals of China, Xi'an is the eastern starting point of the ancient Silk Road and an important transportation hub in northwest China. Xi'an Xianyang International Airport ranked 7th in China and 40th in the world in passenger throughput in 2019, and passenger throughput has returned to pre-pandemic levels in 2024. Routes Asia 2026 will attract decision-makers from the Asia-Pacific route development community, providing face-to-face meetings, networking opportunities and exclusive industry insights to help rebuild the Asia-Pacific route network and drive future market growth. A number of themed events will be held during the conference, including keynote interviews, panel discussions, airline briefings and best practice workshops. In addition, the event is expected to further promote Xi'an's air connectivity, attract more international tourists, promote trade and investment development, expand Xi'an's route network in Southeast Asia and Northeast Asia, and further expand routes to Central Asia, the Middle East and Europe.
