Emirates and the International Confederation of Conventions and Associations (ICCA) recently entered into a landmark strategic partnership aimed at furthering the growth of the global business events industry through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen collaboration between international air travel and the meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions (MICE) industry.

Partnering with ICCA to strengthen the global business events ecosystem

One of the highlights of the partnership is the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Emirates and the International Confederation of Conferences and Associations (ICCA), the leading global network for the international association meetings industry, which will aim to strengthen the ties between the airline industry and the MICE industry, and to bring greater momentum to both industries by fostering strategic synergies.

The partnership will focus on enhancing connectivity for association meetings, strengthening destination development strategies and promoting knowledge exchange and capacity building. By coordinating their efforts, Emirates and ICCA hope to empower the global events community and support the continued growth of global business events.

In addition, the agreement aligns with Dubai's long-term vision to establish Dubai as a premier destination for international meetings and events. As a city that hosts hundreds of major conferences each year, Dubai's thriving MICE sector plays a key role in its D33 economic agenda, which aims to double the size of the economy over the next decade.

By partnering with ICCA, Emirates is further cementing its commitment to fostering global cooperation and promoting the sustainable development of the international meetings industry.

Latest collaborations highlight Emirates' forward-thinking leadership

These latest collaborative initiatives highlight Emirates' proactive stance to build meaningful alliances that enhance the customer journey experience, support economic development and position Emirates as a forward-thinking leader in global connectivity. By partnering with the International Confederation of Conferences and Associations (ICCA), Emirates is not only reinvigorating the global business events industry, but also providing a new example of how the airline industry can integrate with the MICE industry, laying a solid foundation for further collaboration.
