From November 3-6, 2027, the 94th UFI Global Congress will be held in Guadalajara, Mexico. The announcement was made in Paris on July 8, 2025, confirming Guadalajara as the host city, following a resolution unanimously approved by the UFI Board of Directors during the UFI Europe 2025 event week in Thessaloniki, Greece.
The congress will be organized in conjunction with the Guadalajara Convention and Visitors Bureau and will be held at the Centro de Exposiciones de Guadalajara, the largest exhibition venue in Latin America. The Congress returns to the Americas after being held in Las Vegas in 2023 and Bogota in 2014, with Guadalajara chosen for its dynamism as an emerging international destination and its strong commitment to the global exhibition and business events industry.
The UFI Global Congress is considered the most important annual event for the global exhibition industry and is the premier platform for industry leaders, stakeholders and professionals to network, collaborate and work together to shape the future of the industry. The Congress is held in a different region each year, reflecting UFI's global reach. After being held in Cologne in 2024, it will be held in Hong Kong in 2025, Bahrain in 2026 and now Guadalajara in 2027.
Commenting on the site selection, Hugh Jones, Chairman of UFI and CEO of RX, said, “Each year, the UFI Global Congress brings together the people and perspectives that will shape the future of our industry, and Guadalajara promises to be a vibrant and hospitable stage for this important global conversation in 2027.”
Gustavo Staufert Buclon, CEO of the Guadalajara Convention & Visitors Bureau, expressed his enthusiasm for the event, "We are proud that Guadalajara has been chosen to host the UFI Global Congress 2027. Our commitment to the global meetings industry is strong and unwavering. We are members of leading international organizations such as the BestCities Global Alliance, IAPCO, Destinations International and IGLTA. After hosting AFIDA and IFES, we are honored to welcome UFI."
With this announcement, Guadalajara solidifies its position as a global Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions (MICE) destination, and looks forward to welcoming a global leader in the exhibition industry with an impactful congress in 2027.
